FOX Studios Security Guards

21st Century Fox was an American multinational media corporation based principally in Midtown Manhattan, New York.

It was one of two companies formed from the 2013 spin-off of News Corporation’s publishing assets, founded by Rupert Murdoch in 1980.

21st Century Fox assets included Fox Entertainment Group, owners of the 20th Century Fox movie studio, the Fox television network, and a majority stake in National Geographic Partners.

It was the fourth largest media conglomerate in the United States and mainly engaged in the film and television industries.

According to the Statista site, Fox’s highest-grossing films, as of April 2021, are Avatar, released in 2009, Titanic (1997), and Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace (1999).

The purchase of Fox by Disney

Specifically, on July 27, 2018, 21st Century Fox shareholders agreed to sell most of its assets to Disney for $71.3 billion, including 20th Century Fox, FX Networks, and National Geographic Partners, among others.

For clarity, 20th Century Fox is the largest motion picture studio in the 21st Century Fox company; one of two companies that emerged from the 2013 split of News Corporation. And it is primarily engaged in the film and television industries.

Since 2019, it has been part of the Walt Disney Company, which changed its name to 20Th Century Studios in January 2020 to avoid confusion with Fox Corporation brands.
